Handywoman Services
Alongside renovating my home, educating DIY beginners, offering project design and consultations, I also offer Handywoman services in my local area. I've worked on everything from entire shop fits and laying new flooring, to installing panelling and building bespoke furniture. I absolutely love helping people transform their homes and always try to get my clients involved so they too gain confidence and know-how.

Check out some of the projects I've worked on below!
Gemma & Dave, Langford
Gemma and Dave's bedroom hadn't been painted or decorated since they moved into their new build in Biggleswade, and lacked any real focal point or design. They asked for a headboard and shelving within their dressing area for storage.

After the room was painted a rich teal-blue, I used stripwood, picture lights and thick lengths of pine, stained with light oak and limewashed to create a warm, inviting and stylish space, with floating, matching vertical storage to tie the room together.

Nikki & Dave, Hitchin
Living in a ground floor, two bedroom flat in Hitchin, Nikki and Dave felt their second bedroom was underutilised and needed a stylish storage solution as well as a calming home-working space for Dave to run his wedding videography business.

I designed and built a fitted wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling wardrobe using the IKEA PAX system, framing it, making bespoke doors and relaying the flooring and installing skirting to make the wardrobe look like a panelled wall.

I also designed and built a wooden two-drawer, wall-mounted desk and strip panelling to give Dave the space he needed to work from home.

Sugar and Scoop, Ware
The owner of this new zero-waste shop in Ware town centre reached out, wanting her store, which was within a conservation area to be completely redesigned and renovated from the previous estate agent occupants. The floors and walls needed stripping, repairing and replacing, lighting needed rewiring and an additional sink needed installing in the back room.

I helped design the store refit and got stuck in to the job taking it back to it's bare bones before priming and painting the walls, laying new flooring, rendering and tiling the counter, rewiring new light fittings, skim plastering and panelling the back wall, installing a new kitchen area and constructing various display and storage solutions.
